Shareable Cities Book and Toolkit

Shareable, a Bay Area nonprofit that serves as a connection hub for “the sharing transformation,” has published Sharing Cities: Activating the Urban Commons. The book and companion toolkit offer 100 case studies and model policies needed to build social and physical infrastructure that enable sharing based on example from 80 cities in 35 countries around the world. “ To meet challenges, communities, organizations, and local governments are increasingly turning to a basic human practice: sharing. By sharing their labor, knowledge, space, and goods, people are finding that they can overcome scarcity by building and maintaining vital common resources. They are showing how sharing leads everyone to have more, together.”
