Buckyballs to Enable a 26% Increase in Insulation Breakdown Voltage

A recent article in Engineering Materials details developments in research done by the Chalmers University if Technology on the Buckyball. It has been shown that variants of the C60 carbon Buckyball provide significant resistance in high voltage cables. The increase in efficiency will enable new cabling to become more resistant without adding additional weight.
