Designing for Disaster

The National Building Museum in Washington, DC, is hosting Designing for Disaster, an examination of “how we assess risks from natural hazards and how we can create policies, plans, and designs yielding safer, more disaster-resilient communities.” Focusing on the questions of where to build and how, the exhibit offers a hands-on immersion into the engineering and design considerations around mitigating and designing for the impacts of various disasters.

The exhibition runs through August 2, 2015.
