A Visit to the Fuller Family Plot

BFI Board Member Jessica Lipnack makes an annual pilgrimage to the Fuller family plot at Mount Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge, Massachusetts every year since 1973 – the year that she discovered Margaret Fuller’s writing.

Bucky’s grandfather was Margaret Fuller’s brother. Bucky, his wife Anne, Margaret, and Margaret’s parents and siblings are all buried at Mount Auburn.

This year, on Margaret Fuller’s 206th birthday, Lipnack reflected on the writer’s contributions to society:

“In forty short years, the journalist-philosopher-linguist-futurist-feminist accomplished more writing by hand and traveling by carriage, train, and ship than a dozen jet-fueled, digitally equipped people combined today might.”
