Interdisciplinary Incubator in Red Hook
Tucked into Brooklyn’s Red Hook neighborhood is an interdisciplinary incubator called Pioneer Works, where art, design, science, and technology co-exist and mingle in equal doses. Billing itself as “a platform where ideas can manifest into their fullest expression”, Pioneer Works “gathers artists, scientists and creative thinkers to collaborate outside the boundaries of traditional institutions where specialization often limits the application of ideas across disciplines.”
Buckminster Fuller would definitely have approved. And indeed, according to Wired, he is “one of [founder Dustin] Yellin’s biggest influences.”
