Black Mountain College Conference

For a sixth consecutive year, the Black Mountain College Museum in Asheville, NC will convene a gathering at UNC Asheville to celebrate the cultural, artistic and other paradigm shifting developments that took place at this legendary institution. This year is no exception, and the conference and retrospective will focus on the writers associated with Black Mountain College and their influence on the form and content of poetry, literature and non-fiction. This year’s 6th Annual ReVIEWING Black Mountain College conference will feature a keynote by poet Vincent Katz and a talk by William Craig Rice on the republication of BMC founder John Andrew Rice’s suppressed autobiography, I Came Out of the Eighteenth Century (University of South Carolina Press, 2014), among the many exciting events over the weekend-long conference.
