Regenerative Agriculture and Systems Change

September 27 – October 29, 2021

A five-week online course on how to think like nature and design a world that meets the needs of 100% of life.

We invite you to join us and utilize your unique genius in support of the movement, whether or not you are currently immersed in the world of regenerative agriculture.

The course is dynamic and flexible with:

  • Four online video modules you can watch at any time,
  • Friday intimate discussions with our international speakers,
  • Optional Tuesday community lab hours to crowdsource a living resource library
  • A team project to translate your learning into real action, and
  • A final group brainstorm to harness all the creative ideas we can possibly imagine to scale the Regen Ag movement.

Why Should I Take Trimtab Space Camp?

Have you been feeling the weight and urgency of these present times?

Have you been wanting to take bold action toward a world that works for all of life?

Are you looking for an opportunity to get involved in one of the most impactful climate solutions right underneath our feet, restoring fertile soils and cultures, and bringing water back to dry lands?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, you may be interested in our upcoming Trimtab Space Camp on Regenerative Agriculture and Systems Change.

  • Learn from experts in the field of regenerative agriculture
  • Apply your unique genius and skills to regenerative projects on the ground in real-time.
  • Grow your skills and community in a participatory environment
  • Develop literacy in the emerging sciences of systemic world repair.
  • Improve the performance of your projects by learning how to apply systems thinking in technical environments.
  • Engage with a diverse set of perspectives that will shake up your worldview, inspiring you to see the future through fresh eyes.

You will learn a systems view of regenerative agriculture, as we explore such themes reframing traditional narratives, grounding in principles and practices, and understanding the leverage points of how we can make a difference. Learn from on-the-ground activist and farmers like Vandana Shiva, founder of Navdanya and author of over 100 books on everything from biomimicry to deep ecology; Allan Savory, Founder of Savory Institute; Eric Toensmeir author of the Carbon Farming Solution, and senior fellow of land use solutions at Project Drawdown, among others.

What is Regenerative Agriculture?

Regenerative Agriculture is a system of farming principles and practices that increases biodiversity, enriches soils, improves watersheds, and enhances ecosystem services.

Regenerative Agriculture aims to capture carbon in soil and above-ground biomass, reversing current global trends of atmospheric accumulation.

At the same time, it offers increased yields, resilience to climate instability, and higher health and vitality for farming and ranching communities.

The system draws from decades of scientific and applied research by the global communities of organic farming, agroecology, Holistic Management, and agroforestry.

Accelerate a Regenerative Project

With guidance from experts in the field, you will learn and be empowered to take action in support of an on-the-ground project in real-time via a Mission with your fellow Spaceship Crew.

In past Trimtab Space Camp Missions, participants have designed ecosystem restoration projects, nature education programs, urban agroforestry plans, and more.

See other past projects and watch previous presentations from Space Camp participants.

Lead a Mission

Space camp has supported the development of over 45 missions. Do you have a project you’d like to work on with a global team? Could it use a global team of systems thinkers to support it through comprehensive anticipatory design science?

You can activate your own project as a mission in Trimtab Space Camp!
