Thank you Kirk Bergstrom For Your Board Leadership

Thank you to Kirk Bergstrom for serving on our board of directors for the past 13 years. Kirk has served as Vice Chair and given a tremendous amount of assistance to program strategy, design, and implementation. Kirk is a storyteller, educator, and entrepreneur whose work throughout his career has framed a planetary perspective and encouraged active citizenship. As founder of WorldLink Media, he led the design of Interactive Earth, a geospatial software program supported by the National Science Foundation, NASA, and NOAA. In his role as a filmmaker, Kirk has written and directed Emmy Award-winning television for Disney and PBS, including Spaceship Earth: Our Global Environment, Power Shift: Energy + Sustainability and Nourish: Food + Community.

The BFI board expresses its deep appreciation to Kirk for his long-term direction and support. During his tenure at BFI, Kirk played a leading role with developing criteria for the Fuller Challenge, building strategic partnerships and fundraising, and most recently. the design for our new Spaceship Earth programs.
