BFI Executive Director Elizabeth Thompson Attends Salzburg Global Forum

BFI Executive Director Elizabeth Thompson was honored to join 60 global change-makers at the Salzburg Global Seminar in late February for Session 561: "Beyond Green: The Arts as a Catalyst for Sustainability". The goal of this session was to build on path-breaking cultural initiatives, advancing international and cross-sectoral links between arts and sustainability activities around the world. Thompson moderated a panel session called "Designs on the Future". Click for details.

Over 100 participants join BFI at Hammer Museum in LA for Geometry Workshop

BFI recently produced a very well-received workshop entitled "Explorations in the Geometry of Thinking", facilitated by inventor, writer, producer, and educator Kurt Przybilla. The event was hosted by the Hammer Museum in LA as a free public program associated with the "Leap Before You Look" Black Mountain College exhibition. Click for a recap of the event.

Allegra Fuller Snyder's 2015 Conferring Ceremony Speech Now Online

At the 2015 Fuller Challenge Conferring Ceremony in Brooklyn, New York, Buckminster Fuller's daughter Allegra Fuller Snyder spoke about her father's influence. The Halcyon Incubator Seeks Social Entrepreneurs

The Halcyon Incubator is seeking intrepid early stage social entrepreneurs with sustainable and scalable models that address critical 21st century challenges. This immersive, residency-based program in Washington DC includes a $10,000 stipend, free workspace, mentoring, and other forms of support. Applications are due by 5pm ET on May 3rd. Join BFI to celebrate "Our Common Home" hosted by the Cooper Union Institute for Sustainable Design this Thursday, March 24th at 7pm in New York City.
