The Rainforest Solutions Project Wins the 2016 Fuller Challenge

Congratulations to the Winner of the 2016 Fuller Challenge, The Rainforest Solutions Project: a collaborative effort between three environmental organizations, which played a critical role in developing one of the most extraordinary approaches to conservation, social justice, and indigenous rights in recent memory. 2016 Fuller Challenge Conferring Ceremony

Join BFI at the 2016 Fuller Challenge Conferring Ceremony in New York City! We will celebrate the work of the 2016 Fuller Challenge winner and finalists at the Wythe Hotel. The evening will entail a short program about the Fuller Challenge, the awarding of the Omnioculi prize and $100,000 check to the winner of the Challenge, and celebratory drinks. Trevor Blake's Buckminster Fuller Bibliography is now available on Amazon.com. The bibliography includes 1,500 entries by and about Buckminster Fuller from books, magazines, newspapers, and ephemera published between 1914 and 2015.

The 2016 Disruptive Innovation Festival

The Disruptive Innovation Festival (DIF) is an online, open access event that explores the question: The economy is changing — what do I need to know, experience and do? Last year 20,000 participants from 181 countries registered to attend over 270 sessions. The DIF will take place online from the 7th-25th of November. Click for the festival schedule.

OUR LAND 2 Symposium

Agrarian Trust was selected for the 2016 Fuller Challenge Catalyst Program. From November 9-17th, they will convene a national land symposium in Albuquerque and Santa Fe, New Mexico. The symposium will focus on structural land access, conservation, and transition issues with a focus on the lessons of the Southwest’s unique Acequia system and drylands agriculture. A Limited Edition print portfolio of new works was created to celebrate the 120th anniversary of the birth of Buckminster Fuller. Published by The Buckminster Fuller Institute in 2015, the portfolio includes ten giclee color prints made by ten contemporary artists. The portfolio can now be purchased on BFI's online store for a discounted price.
