CALL FOR PROPOSALS: 2016 Fuller Challenge

BFI has issued the Call for Proposals for the 2016 Fuller Challenge. The Fuller Challenge invites designers, architects, planners, entrepreneurs, scientists, artists, activists, and students worldwide to submit original solutions to some of humanity’s most pressing problems. This year's deadline is March 1st, 2016 17:00 EST.

2016 Fuller Challenge Fellowship Program

BFI announces the 2016 Fuller Challenge Fellowship program, open for applications until March 12, 2016. The Fellowship Program is meant to enhance rigorous discourse in the Fuller Challenge review process by bringing additional voices and perspectives into the discussion. New Book: Last Futures by Douglas Murphy

Last Futures: Nature, Technology, and the End of Architecture by Douglas Murphy was released in late December. The book explores the alternative architectural futures envisioned by designers such as Fuller. Click for further details.

Systems Literacy Collection on PBS LearningMedia

Linda Booth Sweeney worked with a PBS team to put together free, media-based resources to foster systems literacy. The pilot collection is targeted to students age 5-25 and their teachers. Click for more information.

Comprehensive Exhibition on Foster + Partners in Tokyo

Net Positive Energy + Water Conference

Global Youth Innovation Network Summit

The Global Youth Innovation Network's "Youth Agribusiness, Leadership, and Entrepreneurship Summit on Innovation" (YALESI 2016) will be held in Dakar, Senegal from March 28-April 1. The Summit brings together youth from over 100 countries to work with NGOs, universities, corporations, and heads of state to address youth unemployment and hunger. Click for more information.
