In a stunning declaration, The World Bank announced that it will respond to climate change by ending its financial support for all oil and gas extraction within two years. The Bank announced this bold step at the One Planet conference in Paris in mid-December 2017, which commemorated the two year anniversary of the signing of the Paris Climate Agreement.

Kiss the Ground, the Book

Kiss the Ground, a soil advocacy group, has published its book of the same title. It features stories of carbon-capturing soil, many well-crafted graphics about regenerative agriculture and approachable science. You can learn about many whole systems approaches and models like the small water cycle and perennial grasses.

GreenWave, the 2015 winner of the Fuller Challenge, was featured as one of the best inventions of the year by Time Magazine. They are in good company along with Tesla’s Model 3 and a hijab that empowers women athletes.
