Montreal and the Geodesic Dream

A new exhibit at the UQAM Design Center in Montreal celebrates the 50th anniversary of the inauguration of the Expo 67 Geodesic Dome designed by R. Buckminster Fuller and Shoji Sadao. It is open till December 10th and curated by Cammie McAtee. The exhibit explores the history of the geodesic dome from the first experiments in the late 1940’s to the proliferation of the do-it-yourself domes of the early 1970s and offers an opportunity to see the important role the Montreal Expo 67 Dome played in the development of domes.
