HELEN + NEWTON HARRISON – MAYA LIN – MARY MATTINGLY

PEDRO REYES – TOMÁS SARACENO – STEPHEN TALASNIK

This is a beautiful portfolio, I’ve never seen anything like it,” remarked gallerist Ronald Feldman, who worked with Fuller on several occasions in the 1970’s and 1980’s, “I am just so proud of these artists. They really care. And it could not be better timed as we are seeing an intense interest in the synthesis of art, science, architecture. This is where Bucky Fuller was for his whole life.

Bucky’s relationship with artists has been well documented. These friendships and the intense creative reciprocity they inspired were a deep and enduring wellspring to which he returned again and again. It is the artists who really ‘get’ Bucky, and we are so honored that this incredible group have participated in this historic project. They have been extraordinarily generous and open hearted with their time and vision. Each artist directly confronts Bucky’s presence, each with a uniquely meaningful response.“ said Elizabeth Thompson.

Twenty portfolios have been created for this project and the proceeds from their acquisition will benefit the on-going work of The Buckminster Fuller Institute (BFI). Founded in 1983, BFI is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to ensure Fuller’s ideas, work, and approach to problem solving continue to impact the current and future strategies for addressing the world’s most critical problems.
