Oladapo (Alex) Olajide is an International Planning consultant with lived experience in Africa, North America, and South East Asia. Alex was born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria. His experiences in Africa’s largest mega city continue to perpetuate his passion for cities, and inform his professional practice in City Planning and Building.
He is currently completing a Master’s degree in Urban Planning with a specialization in Transportation Planning at the prestigious School of Community and Regional Planning (SCARP) at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. Alex also works as a planning intern at EcoPlan International (EPI) – an award winning international planning consulting firm based in Vancouver – working on Economic Development, Strategic Planning, and Public Engagement projects in Canada and beyond.
Alex’s past work experience includes a one year stint with the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Environment in Hanoi, Vietnam, working as a projects associate on the international donor funded national greenhouse gas inventory project as well as other environmental projects in Vietnam.
