I am interested in starting a Synergetic Study/Practice Group in Los Angeles. I have a good meeting space in a quiet neighborhood. I also have a copy of Amy Edmondson's book that others can copy. This will be used as primary text.
Please contact me if you would be interested. I live in the Mid-Wilshire area.

The class last night was amazing. The ability to do a sequence that brings information - like the sequence for finding the solid figures that are basic shapes - was a revelation. This appeared only once in my school education. A Physics teacher in college did a sequence where he added weights to a moving conveyor belt and thru the sequence ended up with the equation E=MC2. He did this on the blackboard while we watched him. It was fascinating, but there was no participation
and no hands on. I had no more tools after the event than I did before. Interesting but useless.
Last night's lesson was something I can run thru myself. With a pencil, piece of paper, scissors, and tape I can have the hands on experience. Wonderful. A new tool. Useful.
Thank You. I can see why Bucky's discoveries are worth learning. They are beyond the blackboard.
Meeting begins at 7:00PM. Address is 5319 Packard St. Los Angeles, 90019. This is near Los Angeles County Museum and the La Brea Tar Pits. I can be reached at 310 349-7044 for more information.
High love and yeehah,
Maurice

Thanks Jim and Amy! Just ordered new copy through BFI.

Let me echo the comment that you've got better options than copying an old copy of AFE. The brand new edition that was just published by Fuller enthusiast, Jim Hausman's publishing company, includes a very thoughtful forward by Jay Baldwin, and a new preface by the author, (writing this comment) reflecting on the events of the past 20 years since I wrote the book. I will hope to hear that more people are getting involved in local study groups, and wish you all the best.

The BFI store now carries the new, expanded Back-in-Action print edition of A Fuller Explanation:

Support BFI's efforts to make this kind of content available!
The full new edition can be read and searched for free on Google Books:

An inexpensive .pdf download is available at: download-AFE (http://www.lulu.com/content/664771)
By using one of these sources, you recompense the blood, sweat, and tears of an author to bring these ideas to life.
