In the last 24 hours I've added significant content to the
Wikipedia page on Synergetics. I've been avoiding doing this, but the page has been marked as a "stub" for a long time, and hardly contained any information. I didn't subtract any of the content already there. As you know, Wikipedia maintains an audit trail of all edits.
I've tried to keep it bare bones. The advisory was to keep it accessible, not too technical. I wrote a blog entry about my trepedations in doing these edits, as well as about my objectives. I do think the page is improved.

1) They are not ALL inclusive. They pit one group against another within the system. They then pit the system itself against the other systems in use elsewhere on our planet.
2) They all use mediums of exchange (money).
3) They make no clear distinction between finance and economics. They use the terms finance and economics interchangeably, as if they are the same.
4) They do not recognize the FACT that production and distribution capacity is now so great, that we have entered The Age of Abundance.
All current economic management systems are competitive in nature. The spaceship called the International Space Station, however, is a cooperative venture. It is clear to those directly involved that a cooperative approach yields results unattainable through competition. This is a good model for the astronauts aboard Spaceship Earth.
Mediums of exchange (money) are notoriously unreliable in operation, primarily because they do not correspond directly to anything that is fact based. Having a currency that is backed by gold does not resolve this issue. Human desire for gold changes continuously. Mediums of exchange allow slipping in the idea that goods and services can be used today and paid for tomorrow. However the Universe and planet Earth do not allow for this fanciful idea. Farmers cannot harvest crops at the beginning of the growing season and “pay” by planting at the end of the season. The Universe is a pre-pay system. Once goods and services are used, they are fully “paid” for. Wax poetic and moralistic all you care to, debt is a form of enslavement, pure and simple.
When economics is examined independently of finance, it is surprisingly simpler and always fact based. Webster defines economics as “….production, distribution and consumption (use) of goods and services”. With or without human beings the Universe produces, distributes and uses goods and services, continuously. The Universe is an economy, The Economy. It doesn’t use money and never charges for anything. The Universe never measures anyone’s confidence to determine whether airplanes will fly.
Through much of our history on Spaceship Earth, humans have used tools and animals to perform work for us. Starting with the Industrial Revolution, we have been spectacularly successful at inventing and using machines to carry out physical tasks and now to process information rapidly. We can now produce far more than we need. We are in THE AGE OF ABUNDANCE. Earning a living and using mediums of exchange in order to have access to goods and services that support a quality life are now obsolete. They are not only obsolete, they are counter productive. They lead to enormous waste, catastrophic environmental damage and they tend to demean and suppress creativity and the human spirit.
It is now possible to produce a higher standard and quality of living for everyone, require far less human labor, and have direct access to goods and services with no erratic middle-man (money).

In Atlanta as other communities we have so many well trained Meteorologists. The past weekend I saw well meaning reporters out in a 1.5 inch snow commenting on the size of snowflakes. Each evening these great communicators with a background in science tell us what we already know ( 99 % of the time ). It is raining!
I am sending a proposal to the AMS to consider adding environmenal reporting to its bag of tricks. What a perfect match. Well trained reporters with a basic education in science should add local environmental issues to the nightly broadcast.....
Example: " Hi, the is Anthony Park with EPU and tonight you can see the major areas in Georgia currently in the Superfund sites. The level of toxins in our waters today are " ....you get the idea.
As our society deals with rapid changes in technology, it would enable the members of AMS to both preserve
jobs and serve the community in a very meaningful way. Lets reach out to these professionals and engage them in a dialogue. They have our attention every day and can be a powerful change agent for good!

The tremendous flow of galaxy clusters, remote from us 3 billion light years away, stretching for hundreds of Mpc and running at speeds of about a thousand kilometers per second, is a huge imprint on the interaction of our universe with another universe. This conclusion sum of two groups of astrophysicists and cosmologists research papers.
Last year, Alexander Kashlinsky and his colleagues at the Goddard Space Center have discovered giant flux of galactic clusters, rushing at great speed in one direction. This mysterious phenomenon of universal scale is called the "dark flow", by analogy with the two other mysteries of the cosmos - dark matter and dark energy.
If our space is represented as a table, and visible matter - in a puddle of water on it, it seems that our universe someone slightly bent.

The Buckminster Fuller Institute published the book Synergetic Stew: Explorations in Dymaxion Dining in 1982. Under this name, synchronofile.com publishes an irregular collection of brief notes relating to Buckminster Fuller.
Synergetic Stew January 2010 includes myriahedral projection mapping, pathfinders and ideanauts, tetrahedra packing, the Dymaxion Car, Super Vixen and more.

Hi All
We, the BFI volunteers, are trying to get a section of the Bucky South Pole dome donated to the Henry Ford Museum to go along with Bucky's dymaxion house and car. Any help you can provide toward achieving this goal will be greatly appreciated.
Brandon "Shaggy" Neahusan is assigned to the task. One section is already going to the SeaBee's museum.
Thanks

I wrote a short script (included below) to recreate the animation
with a few more frames, although it may not be connected exactly
like yours (2.5Mb)

If singly connected triangles aren't a problem then it can also
be made with a 5-fold axis (2.5Mb)

Here are a few other jitterbug models. Two torus jitterbug's
which use "rubber" triangles; the second is a kaleidocycle
and can be made with rigid equilateral triangles throughout

Here is video showing some physical models of antiprism-based
jitterbugs and tensegrities

I have been a Bucky fan "light is right" for a while. I saw domes at Pacific High in 1970. I had the privilege of hearing Buckminster Fuller speak at Portland Community Collage in about 1971. If I am right about building a mile geodesic sphere, there would be many applications, one of which could be a portable desalinization plant. Covered with solar panels, we would have a portable power plant for any need. I believe we can build this sphere by submerging it as it is assembled. I would like to know if I am right as I am not an engineer. Could someone who is let me know so I can start bending ears.

Oregon's Silicon Forest has been exploring a new digital mathematics curriculum suitable for high schools.
Martian Math module dives to the heart of Synergetics in providing a clear introduction to the concentric hierarchy and related modules.
