I'm interested in building a small dome based on the "plydome" design but I can't find instructions anywhere.
I don't know that I'll actually use plywood, but rather some other more weather resistant material. I like the idea of creating geodesic structures using indentically-sized flexible panels.
Math is definitely not my strong suit so it's tough to wrap my head around modifying available dome plans to use rectangular or circular panels.
Any advice or links on this subject will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Josh

I have plans for a simplified hemisphere 18 ft. in diameter that uses 15 sheets of plywood and several sheets of bendy plastic. I can send it if you are interested and I can find it.

Google.... randome fischbeck OR shelter OR geodesic ....and you'll get about 1000 hits. If you still have trouble write me directly.
I'll write to Steve and tell him about your questions.
Thanks, Dick. Of course, Steve's site is where I've mostly seen the plydome. His work is stunning, to say the least. Unfortunately, attempts to reach him via e-mail result in a "Delivery Failure".
I'm not sure what you mean by "randomes". I searched for it and found nothing. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't "radome" short for "radar dome"? How does this relate to the plydome?
I appreciate your information and would be grateful for a follow-up.
Thanks,
Josh
Why not contact Steve Miller from East Calais, Vermont. He's a guy who lives and breathes plydomes.

He might even participate in this forum. He's a man of few words but I can vouch for his friendliness.
On the other hand, if you are math challenged, randomes are the easiest domes going! Randomes are cousin to the plydome and the radome.
