Domes? I have to have one. Saw a dome home as a child in a magazine and was hooked. My interest was recently renewed.
What about the interiors though? Are there people that specialize in this? I see a lot about dome frames and delivery charges. I see floor plans mentioned. But nothing so far about the cost of completing the interior. Are there contractors that, once they know the size of the dome, can they easily quote a price for labor and suppplies? Like some kind of modular interior kit they can plug into the size/diameter, once they know it, for 1 or 2 floors?
I guess I'm trying to find out if it is easier than having the interior (floor, all rooms including bathrooms and kitchen...)of a non-dome house done. Or is it exactly the same? All the same steps exactly?
Thanks.

Interior dome lights offer cabin illumination in a vehicle. There are usually three options for dome light switches: "on" when the doors or hatch are opened, full-time "on" and full-time "off." Before replacing the dome light bulbs, it is wise to check the switch positions to ensure the the "off" selection of the switch has not been accidentally activated. filtafry, filta fry and filta franchise

Thank you for your site. I have found here much useful information...
Very cool design! I find very interesting information at this article, thanks.
I have extensive experience in kitchen/bath, cabinetry and other built-ins: design, production processes and of course material specs. I am presently working on the mosaic tiling of a small dome of my own. I would welcome sharing ideas and methods with others.
Very interesting website. Keep up the outstanding work and thank you...
I have been in a dome for 13 years, the second owner so have a bit of perspective on costs for renovating. Have found because my dome is about 45feet ( roughly 25oo sq feet), flooring costs are higher than a typical rectangular room, with more waste as you cut off the excess on the outer circular portion.Possibly tiles or hardwood would be less waste but you have to learn to cut on the round! Shingles cost also higher as there are many more than the typical home, then again there is not much for siding or stone.I think shinglers would rather work on a regular roof, they avoided our calls so we did our own.I need new kitchen cupboards so am trying to figure out a way to enlarge my present kitchen which is the smallest room in the house. The back half of our dome consists of a family room, dining room, laundry room and kitchen. The three bedrooms are above these rooms which leaves the largest room open to the full height of the dome, aprox 26 ft.I would like to open the wall of the kitchen so I can see through to the large room.I so much wish there was more on dome interiors . It would be nice to have some visuals and get ideas. I think people that build domes must be up for many challenges. The support from different stores always seems qestionable, for example shingle calculation was way off and their ideas for kitchen expansion are nil. (Would be nice to hear from other Domers.) Like you, I knew I wanted to Be A Domer the first time I walked into one. Brenda
